Hi, In normal case when I copy big files(>500MB) from hdd to usb in windows xp, It copies at 5MB/s speed. But when I try to copy same file in gentoo-r5 from hdd to usb using cp command, transfer is too slow(0.3MB/s). I have enabled USB2.0 for fullspeed in bios. Is it my usb configuration is wrong or is usb really slow in linux? Is there any way to improve it?
