That is so wrong. Hacking is an art of programming. Hackers are programmers who pursue programming as an artistic passion in solving challenging problems. This culture existed from the 1970s at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, US. RMS and company were part of this group. Crackers are people who steal passwords, break into systems, bring down networks etc. Doesn't this prove your credibility?
