I assume you are either talking about the paper "yFS: A Journaling File System Design for Handling Large Data Sets with Reduced Seeking" or talking about http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=141750. The paper was written around 2003 while the sf.net project talks about making a filesystem equivalent of ZFS for Linux. A bit of ZFS features are made available through FUSE for Linux as documented at http://www.wizy.org/wiki/ZFS_on_FUSE So, how difficult would it be for you/your group to work with http://groups.google.com/group/zfs-fuse/about and figure out how to move forward ? :Sankarshan - -- You see things; and you say 'Why?'; But I dream things that never were; and I say 'Why not?' - George Bernard Shaw -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.5 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Fedora - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFF9pUkXQZpNTcrCzMRAsDfAJwOdRyL8IQOVmUpZ1H1sKGce6G+CACfdMbT Y7laFHRdM7eWzQCJ/fJrn5A= =9mFw -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- ______________________________________________________________________ Pune GNU/Linux Users Group Mailing List: (plug-mail@plug.org.in) List Information: http://plug.org.in/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/plug-mail Send 'help' to [EMAIL PROTECTED] for mailing instructions.
