Have you checked "House of Laptops" on Tilak Road. Very close to swargate. I haven't purchased anything from there yet. But they have a LOT of variety. http://www.houseoflaptops.com > and requirements are that it should work with ubuntu > linux and i should be able to connect to net using > mobile. You can just take Ubuntu LiveCD with you and check it first hand if the specific model you like, works with Ubuntu. Not sure about mobile part though. .. and do reply back when you end up buying up specific model. It might be helpful for others to know about it.
