Your Suse install CD (no 1) or DVD contains a rescue system. After installing, XP it will wipe out your grub boot loader, but it should not be an unsolvable problem. After installing XP then go to boot from the Suse CD (DVD) and select install, then select your timezone, keyboard, language, etc. At one point before the main installation screen you will see a menu that gives you the option to repair an existing installation. You should be able to select your installed suse system. You are given options to repair a variety of parts of the system. If everything was working before you can deselect everythingj except reinstalling grub the boot loader. There are other ways, but I find that this system provided by SuSE works very well for me.
