Hello all, PLUG's monthly meeting took place in SICSR. The meeting started at 4.30 pm and was attended by around 15 people.
No formal agenda on the meet was decided beforehand. However, issues regarding the mailing list and PLUG website were discussed. 1. Mailing list rules were discussed in detail. Existing rules http://plug.org.in/pipermail/plug-mail/2004-August/012848.html were discussed. Some additions proposed: a. Limit on discussions related to OT or Commercial. PLUG mailing list moderator have the right to stop disucssions on threads. b. Top posting is discouraged which may led to rejection of posts in future.See : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Top_posting It is proposed to have the rules sent to any new user subscribing to the mailing list as well as sending them periodically(every month). 2. Regarding FAQ : An FAQ is to be prepared which answers basic questions which are repeatedly asked in the mailing list. This FAQ is to be put up on the website 3.
