I'm assuming that you've installed these packages using apt-get. If this assumption is correct, only then rest of my email makes sense. apt-get has an option for "download only". (Check http://www.debian.org/doc/manuals/apt-howto/ch-apt-get.en.html) It also has an option of using local file system as source for .deb files. (Check http://www.debian.org/doc/manuals/apt-howto/ch-basico.en.html#s-sources.list) Combination of these two, should be able to give you the desired result. > So how do I share my wares with him? > Sharing in Windows is quite easy. Person having the fast net connection does apt-get -d (download only) Then burn the .deb files on to CD and use it to install on local machine as well as share the CD with other people without fast conneciton. I hope this answers your question. -DP -- ______________________________________________________________________ Pune GNU/Linux Users Group Mailing List: (plug-mail@plug.org.in) List Information: http://plug.org.in/mailing-list/listinfo/plug-mail Send 'help' to [EMAIL PROTECTED] for mailing instructions.
