Just bought an Acer travelmate. Works just fine with Mandrake 10.0. It has a celeron-M processor at 1.5ghz. The Mobile series chips are more efficient in terms of power consumption and speed. Although they run at lower clock speeds, they would compare to higher speed celerons and pentiums.
Mandrake 10.0 does not support power saving (sleep mode) too well. 10.1 has better support.
