Check the link

As a end user I would say that more oss should be
ported to windows and hyped a lot.

Eg My dad uses OO suite + FF+ Win2K which was
pre-installed.
This OOo suite has really helped me try Linux at home.

Now my dad is happy with OOo and also sees me using
kubuntu + FF + ooo at home. So now he is insisting
that I wipe win2K prof and install kubuntu.

Well, I wont do that since I have completed locked
down win2k with all the backup scripts etc. So the
worst thing my dad can do is delete his my documents -
which can be easily restored by running a script with
admin rights from guest login.

Anyways, still I hope you got my point.

Few things that still lack are games (i need to boot
to 98 to run NFS), media players (kaffeine doesnt
work, vlc doesnt get installed when I try the debian
install as said on the site. mplayer site is down when
I tried yesterday), I cant run windows media player
from linux since wine is not present in kubuntu.
