I quote verbatim, "This instruction is usually given in response to a
question that can be answered easily by reading relevant documentation,
and suggests that the inquirer may be wasting people's time." Please
understand, it is extremely irritating to answer the same questions time
and time and time and time again.
Also, I bet that if a person comes up with a distro,
the other person will surely pull his leg. (I sort of
remember Mr Raut calling someone fedora fanatic and
yelling in the group saying not to listen to that
fedora fanatic.)
1. Mr. Raut's views do not reflect the views of PLUG.
2. We do not generally discourage the use of a particular distro.
However, if one feels that a particular distro is not good/not upto the
mark, he has a right to say so in as many words _on the list_.
3. Could you please point to the thread where the above mentioned
conversation took place? I can't for the life of me find it.
Let me tell you a personal fact - I have seen KDE
desktop of SUSE9.1 crash in a week more than my
Win98SE crash in at least 10 months or so.
The Ubuntu that I got does not detect my serial
logitech mouse.
So let me see. Nobody should critize a distro, but you get to do it with
SuSE and Ubuntu, is that it? And did you say that you've started
learning things on your own? Wow! Congrats! I'm not trying to be
ascerbic or sarcastic here, really. Have a question though. Do you read
the manual?
I dont know how mature these people are to take a
criticism in a positive way, but you got the point, right?
So do I..
