No not really misplaced. You see ISP always "buys" lot less IPs than they have
customers. They depend on the fact that not all customers are connected always,
so they can safely use those IPs over and over again. Now, if there are many
customers who keep their connections ON for unnecessary time, the ISP might have
only 3 options,
- buy more IPV4 address - so cost more to ISP and in turn to customers
- get converted to IPV6 - upgradation and trouble a LOT
- do NAT-ing (like Sify???), but it has its own share of LOT of problems.


We can just do our bit by disconnecting when not needed. Maybe my worries 
are misplaced.
