Gargi being a variable width font, the spacing will never be the same. It is been long since I tried this. But this is what I have done. Add devnagari keyboard via KDE. Make sure that the keyboard is selected in the tray applet. And set font to gargi in OO. That's about it. Getting the keyboard map is bit tough. It is not same as english neither it is phonetic. Add devnagari/Hindi keyboard. That is about it.
