Hey Steve!

Thanks a lot for your response. :-)

I had already made the changes before reading your mail. Couldn't resist
experimenting.. ;-)

Well, here's what I did.

$cd /data2
$mkdir usr-bkup
$cd usr-bkup
$cp -ax /usr .

Used YaST to format /dis2 (/dev/sda3). It only contained a Debian
installation. No important data.

$mv /usr /usr-old
$mkdir /usr
$mount /dev/sda3 /usr

Checked that all seemed good.
Edited /etc/fstab as required.

Held my breath and rebooted.
Boink!!!!!!! Grub failed... And so forgetful I am, forgot that my bootloader
was on /dev/sda3 which I had just formatted!!!
Well, used SuSE 9.2 CD to reinstall GRUB. Now everything was fine.

$rm /data2/usr-bkup -r
$rm /usr-old -r

Everything looks healthy now. :-)

:-D
I guess I need another disk... That will allow me to experiment a bit as well.
I want to try out LVM as well... Only after I get a new disk to play with.

Cheers,
Kapil
