Root password is set after time zone in the install. Anyway to rectify your problem: reboot at grub press any key you will see operating sysÅ select linux press e go to kernel line press e this will place you in edit mode at end of kernel line type single press enter press b to boot you will come to root prompt like # type passwd it will ask for you to type new root password type something you will remember confirm again reboot ctr+alt+del This will work only if no grub password is set. Do it and report success/failure. Ranjit.
