I'd like to connect my iPod (its a USB 2.0 device) to my SuSE 9.2
machine. (Its a 20gb 4th generation) When I plug it in, however,
unlike normal USB devices (like pen drives), I have no idea where it
is mounted. Trying to mount it manually seemed to help, and one can
even unmount it, but nothing appears when I go to the mountpoint
directory.

I remember reading that one needs to recompile the kernel with EFI
disabled... is there any other solution to this?

The iPod works perfectly fine in Windows, both when syncing with
iTunes, or simply as an external hard drive.

What could be wrong here?
