Hi PLUG, I have a challenge of enhancing the performance of my MySQL/Apache server (Performance tuning is optimized to the max) running on a PIV with 1 GB RAM. The choice was to use clustering by putting additional standard hardware.
I tried Openmosix clusters but as MySQL/Apache makes use of "shared memory" - openmosix type of clusters are not of any use. MySQL has recently introduced clusters, but it is too premature to be used on production machines. Apache with DNS round robin etc is also not very effective. Does anybody have any inputs to use clustering for performance enhancement of MySQL/Apache ? Any help/input/views are welcome. - Santosh KB -- ______________________________________________ Check out the latest SMS services @ http://www.linuxmail.org This allows you to send and receive SMS through your mailbox.
