ntpd is a NTP daemon (server). You need client. 'man ntpdate' e.g. # ntpdate ntp1.curie.fr Few other servers: ntp1.sp.se clock.redhat.com(stratum 1) clock2.redhat.com pool.ntp.org ntp.debian.org > > Basically I want the time to get synchronised after connecting to internet > through dial up. How do I do that? > I have googled a bit, but I couldn't find info. google for "ntp+client" not "ntp+server" :) Regards, Shantanoo -- ______________________________________________________________________ Pune GNU/Linux Users Group Mailing List: ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) List Information: http://plug.org.in/mailing-list/listinfo/plug-mail Send 'help' to [EMAIL PROTECTED] for mailing instructions.
