Roger that! I tried number of combinations, but to no avail... Here are results of some combinations I tried: <port# / encryption method / authentication method> 587/SSL/LOGIN Sending failed: Could not connect to host smtp.gmail.com 587/TLS/LOGIN Sending failed: The server did not accept the sender address. The server responded: "5.5.4 Syntax error " 465/SSL/LOGIN Sending failed: The server did not accept the sender address. The server responded: "5.5.4 Syntax error " 465/TLS/LOGIN Sending failed: The server did not accept the connection: "" 465/TLS/PLAIN Sending failed: Timeout on server smtp.gmail.com<<>> 587/SSL/PLAIN Sending failed: Could not connect to host smtp.gmail.com Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm.............................. :-( Tried telneting smtp.gmail.com:587 (465 didn't work). Connection was established but nothing further, since TLS/SSL is a must :-( Anyone else facing such problem? -Kapil -- "The Power to Imagine, is The Power to Create!" -TTux -- ______________________________________________________________________ Pune GNU/Linux Users Group Mailing List: ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) List Information: http://plug.org.in/mailing-list/listinfo/plug-mail Send 'help' to [EMAIL PROTECTED] for mailing instructions.
