I think what we could do is seek opinion from members on the mailing list about how we could "theme" the next meet. We could then ask people to speak on that particular topic. TwinClinG successfully follows the formula of themed meets. For example, MONO is a hot topic of discussion recently. We could dedicate a meet to MONO and we could have a couple of people come up and speak exclusively about MONO. I guess it helps to have an agenda for the meet which is announced on the list well in advance. > But someone says, "Hey Thats cool software, I should > try this" then shouldn't we make it easier for him to > get the software on the spot? I think what could be done is that if talks are centered around a certain tool/suite...that particular piece of software could be provided at the meet itself to supplement the talks at the meet. It makes attending the talk meaningful. For example, if we have a meet dedicated to low cost computing, we may end up talking about LTSP and it would help if LTSP packages could be provided on the spot for people who are interested in trying out the software. Just my 2 pence... -- /Sumeet Parallel lines never meet, unless you bend one or both of them. -- ______________________________________________________________________ Pune GNU/Linux Users Group Mailing List: ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) List Information: http://plug.org.in/mailing-list/listinfo/plug-mail Send 'help' to [EMAIL PROTECTED] for mailing instructions.
