Hi, I am using Treansend JetFlash (512MB) on slackware linux 9.1. In order to use it on linux, I need to connect it _before_ booting my machine. If I connect it afterwards, I can not mount it. The reason behind this is few of the modules are loaded only if I connect the JetFlash memory stick before boot up (e.g. ide-scsi).
Can somebody tell me how I should modify my modules.conf file so that the required modules are loaded automatically even if I do not physically connect the memory stick? The lsmod output when the memory stick is connected and mounted is as follows: Module Size Used by Not tainted snd-pcm-oss 37252 0 (unused) snd-mixer-oss 11992 0 [snd-pcm-oss] usb-storage 65536 0 legousbtower 10112 0 (unused) uhci 24496 0 (unused) usbcore 58400 1 [usb-storage legousbtower uhci] snd-intel8x0 17156 2 snd-pcm 55904 2 [snd-pcm-oss snd-intel8x0] snd-timer 13252 0 [snd-pcm] snd-ac97-codec 37240 0 [snd-intel8x0] snd-page-alloc 6004 0 [snd-intel8x0 snd-pcm] snd-mpu401-uart 3136 0 [snd-intel8x0] snd-rawmidi 12512 0 [snd-mpu401-uart] snd-seq-device 3920 0 [snd-rawmidi] snd 27460 0 [snd-pcm-oss snd-mixer-oss snd-intel8x0 snd-pcm snd-timer snd-ac97-codec snd-mpu401-uart snd-rawmidi snd-seq-device] soundcore 3332 3 [snd] pcmcia_core 40032 0 ide-scsi 9424 0 agpgart 39576 0 (unused) apm 9640 2 Thanks, Atul. -- ______________________________________________________________________ Pune GNU/Linux Users Group Mailing List: ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) List Information: http://plug.org.in/mailing-list/listinfo/plug-mail Send 'help' to [EMAIL PROTECTED] for mailing instructions.
