I dont know what you mean. But lets face the fact. MS
has 'integrated' IE in the kernel of OS. The IE engine
is used by many s/ws like ms office. IE hangs and the
complete OS hangs. Try opening about 40-50 links in
new ie window and the os gdi resources reaches nadir,
faulting the kernel32 or sometimes the gdi32 dll.
Try to watch a movie cd with has scratches and mplayer
hangs bringing the os down w/ it. (I think red hat 7
or something had similar prob. I remember xmms
hanging, bringing xserver down w/ it. I know that the
os is still runing, but for the desktop user windows
manager is the interface he's interested in and is the
os for him.)
Ofcourse you can end task the programmes and the os
restores, but after a min or so of frustration. So the
best soln is use other s/ws which does not use the ie
engine at all. And if those are free, with less system
space and more efficient, then why not go for it? :)

I think this thread is going nowhere related to Linux.
Can we stop further mails on this thread.
Looks like the moderator is a bit lenient this time.
