your signature says it all ;) On a more serious note, anaconda is a simple (not really !!) application written in python. So get the source for the redhat version and modify it according to your needs. You'll need to google for further information as I have'nt done this personally. LFS (www.linuxfromscratch.org) is an interesting project for those who have the time and inclination to compile thousands of packages from scratch.
