I mentioned Ubuntu requiring more setup time because Unity Ubuntu on the desktop has a lot of apps that I don't use so I spend more time removing it. Also I don't like the Unity interface, so I change the desktop environment.
I just use Linux Mint instead of Ubuntu because it has nearly the same support and it fits my preferences for a desktop environment. I used to be very interested in Arch Linux, but I lost interest because it took up a lot of time to maintain and set up.
