Am 17. Jan, 2019 schwätzte Anthony Radzykewycz so: moin moin,
In my classes I said SIGTERM was a request for the process to leave the party, but it can say bye to everyone and clean up after itself. A SIGHUP is a please reset behavior or go away request, again leaving time for goodbyes and cleanup. A SIGKILL is a sawed-off shotgun and you'll get guts on the mantlepiece and probably find some molding beer stuck to the bookshelf in a week. But, I didn't have a cartoon, so this would squeeze into the class materials :). ciao, der.hans
Thank you for this! Hahaha. I’m going to add this to my Linux class.
