I'm using a plain xdm, rather than lightdm and I suffer the same issue. I'm afraid I can't apply the workaround in Message #20, as I don't appear to even have xfce4-power-manager running. If I try to open the settings for it, the dialog pops up asking
"Xfce4 Power Manage is not running, do you want to launch it?" The behaviour is the same if I let it, or don't. -- Paul "LeoNerd" Evans [email protected] | https://metacpan.org/author/PEVANS http://www.leonerd.org.uk/ | https://www.tindie.com/stores/leonerd/
