No answer in 8 months. One major issue of tests not working in a chroot was
fixed in https://github.com/cockpit-project/cockpit/commit/32939ead33 in
version 155. So I assume this was the cause, and I close this now.
Please reopen (or file a new one) with some details if you still have this
problem with current versions.
