Hello Thorsten, Thorsten Alteholz [2017-03-08 20:00 +0000]: > Hi Martin, > > License: and Copyright: "various" in your debian/copyright look rather > strange.
As it says: | Files: dist/* bower_components/* | Copyright: various | License: various | Cockpit uses various javascript dependencies at runtime in the browser | such as jQuery, React, or term.js. These dependencies are built into Cockpit | during the build process, via Bower. | . | Please see COPYING.bower in the source tree or | /usr/share/doc/cockpit-system/COPYING.bower in the installed system for | details about copyrights and licenses for each component. I thought it would be better to refer to the autogenerated COPYING.bower file which will stay up to date, rather than doing an one-time snapshot to formally satisfy the initial NEW review, but it would inevitably get out of date. So I'm looking for advice from you: would you rather have an inline copy of COPYING.bower? Is it acceptable/preferrable to generate this during package build from COPYING.bower with some seddery, or would you rather have a static snapshot in the source?
