This bug problem is: wlan wireless is not working, dmesg reports"link is not ready", and "Select Network" is not showing the network...
It might be related to the new kernel on debian stretch: currently linux kernel 4.7 (4.7.0-1-amd64) A WORKAROUND (thanks to my boss at work) is to specify your wireless network as hidden network. Just do it, even if it is not really hidden. It's the only way I've found, to get it working. So: Click Wi-Fi settings Click Connect to Hidden Network... If your connection is already stored (from before, when it was working), then you'll find the wireless Network name under Connection. Else enter "Network name", "Wi-Fi Security" (typically WPA & WPA2 Personal), "Password". Then it will work. Only then does the network appear under "Select Network"! _______________________________________________ Pkg-utopia-maintainers mailing list [email protected] http://lists.alioth.debian.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/pkg-utopia-maintainers
