Package: network-manager-openvpn
Version: 1.2.4-1
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

When I try to connect to OpenVPN server that does not support LZO compression,
the connection is not working even tough the "Use LZO" is set to OFF in the NM
connection settings. There are two relevant messages in syslog:

Before connect:
WARNING: 'comp-lzo' is present in local config but missing in remote config,
local='comp-lzo'

After connect:
Bad LZO decompression header byte: 69
(this one is repeated a lot of times)

Full syslog is included

Upstream bug report:
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=769177

Fedora is affected too:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1355688

Downgrading to 1.2.2-1 fixes the problem

Thank you.

Regards,
Jan Kriho

Description:
 network-manager-openvpn - network management framework (OpenVPN plugin core)
 network-manager-openvpn-gnome - network management framework (OpenVPN plugin
GNOME GUI)
Closes: 833166
Changes:
 network-manager-openvpn (1.2.6-1) unstable; urgency=medium
 .
   * New upstream release.
     - Fix recent change in behavior for "comp-lzo=no" setting.
       (Closes: #833166)
   * Bump debhelper compat level to 10.
   * Drop Use-user-nobody-group-nogroup-when-exporting-an-OpenVPN-c.patch. This
     patch is no longer necessary as we now create a nm-openvpn system user in
     postinst. So we use that instead of nobody / nogroup when exporing an
     OpenVPN connection.
