code, which can obtain an address far faster than dhclient. Please
consider making this the default. Users who need more esoteric features

I demoted network-managers dependency on isc-dhcp-client to a
recommends, so you can easily uninstall that package. In this case
NetworkManager will automatically fall back to the internal dhcp client.
This should address your request nicely, thus closing this bug report.
