I am using Debian testing and I have found out that today there is a new version of network-manager-applet. However this depends, indirectly as far as I can see, on gnome-keyring. The problem with gnome-keyring is that it is very difficult that it does not start for the user session, even if I am using XFCE. Then it registers as the libsecret provider, which prevents KeePassXC from registering as the libsecret service.
