Hi,

I have a library (QtZeroConf <https://github.com/jbagg/QtZeroConf>) that depends on libavahi-client.  I would like to package QtZeroConf for Debian as Fedora is now packaging it.  QtZeroConf needs qt-watch.cpp/h from avahi.  At one point in there was a libavahi-qt package I think.  I would prefer to not include a copy of qt-watch.cpp/h in QtZeroConf. What are your thoughts?

Please see the discussion at
https://github.com/avahi/avahi/issues/516

The Qt bindings are basically unmaintained and had no reverse dependencies in Debian, which is why they were removed in Debian:
https://salsa.debian.org/utopia-team/avahi/-/commit/346aa63ebc5c0aa7aad0127adb0b0167d5f6a422

I'd rather not re-introduce them at this point until its maintenance status has been decided.

Michael
