Dear Maintainer,

after an apt full-upgrade to unstable/AMD64 I see ppp is NOT upgradable.

Simulating an installation shows:

root# LC_ALL=C apt-get install ppp -t unstable -s

The following packages will be REMOVED:
  network-manager network-manager-applet network-manager-gnome
nm-connection-editor plasma-nm plasma-welcome
The following packages will be upgraded:
  ppp
1 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 6 to remove and 0 not upgraded.
Remv network-manager-gnome [1.36.0-3+b1]
Remv network-manager-applet [1.36.0-3+b1]
Remv nm-connection-editor [1.36.0-3+b1]
Remv plasma-welcome [6.2.3-1]
Remv plasma-nm [4:6.2.3-1]
Remv network-manager [1.50.0-1]
Inst ppp [2.5.0-1+2] (2.5.1-1+1 Debian:unstable [amd64])
Conf ppp (2.5.1-1+1 Debian:unstable [amd64])

Checking depends of NM:

root# LC_ALL=C apt depends network-manager | grep ppp

WARNING: apt does not have a stable CLI interface. Use with caution in scripts.

  Breaks: ppp (>= 2.5.0-2~)
  Breaks: ppp (<< 2.5.0-1+~)
  Recommends: ppp

Looks like the 2nd Breaks is not allowing an upgrade of ppp.

Can you build NM against ppp-dev (2.5.1-1+1)?

Please, check on your side.

Thanks.

Best regards,
-Sedat-

This is handled like a regular transition where binNMUs are scheduled.

No individual bug reports this one are necessary.
