I'd do that, but I do not have (or plan to have) a github account. And I don't see a way to file an issue there without one.
Some more info here actually. You can trigger this even easier by just calling 'udiskctl status' as a user and I'd assume some other commands from udiskctl as well. I guess thats the way steam gets to trigger this, too.
When using udiskctl the directories actually belong to root and no longer to the user, that issued the query.
