IIRC, around January, my nm-client stopped working. I was relocating so
I don't know at which exact version things changed.
I found that mounting /proc with hidepid to 1 or 2 makes all nm clients
unusable:
$ nmcli g
(process:6557): nmcli-CRITICAL **: Error: Could not create NMClient
object: Unable to authenticate request..
Without changing session, remounting with hidepid to 0 instantly solves
the problem:
$ nmcli g
STATE CONNECTIVITY WIFI-HW WIFI WWAN-HW WWAN
connected full enabled enabled enabled enabled
The version in stable (0.9.10.0-7) does not have this problem, so this
is a regression.
This is a desired and planned (https://wiki.debian.org/Hardening/Goals)
security feature so we should care about this.
