This is maybe a good idea for buster, I just haven't got round to doing
any mass-bug-filing. I don't think it's urgent.

If this change is sent to the upstream projects, the bug report/patch
should mention that projects that still aim to support older
"enterprise"/LTS distributions (Debian 8, Ubuntu 14.04, probably RHEL,
etc.) shouldn't do that.
