Oh, and which version of systemd is this? Btw, I can't really reproduce your problem: With a UTF-8 locale (which you really should enable), systemctl will use '→', for a non-UTF8 locale, systemctl will fall back to '->' -- Why is it that all of the instruments seeking intelligent life in the universe are pointed away from Earth?
