Please attach the output of /etc/fstab, systemctl show open-vm-tools.service, systemctl cat open-vm-tools.service and journalctl -alb from a boot where the service failed. Is this happening reproducibly? -- Why is it that all of the instruments seeking intelligent life in the universe are pointed away from Earth?
