Ahhh that make sense now ! I had the following listed: `apm_emu` which seems to be long gone (it was not even used anymore on wheezy anyway, maybe a left over from lenny?): $ sudo modprobe apm_emu FATAL: Module apm_emu not found. Removing it from /etc/modules did solve my issue.
