Ok, so it's nothing which seems to happen in too many cases. Glad to hear. Anyway, you tagged it "moreinfo" but didn't specify what kund of info you would like to have? Since I plan to reboot soon (and then can also tell if a reboot "fixes" the issue), it'd be nice to know what kind of information you expect or how I can get some debug info from systemd without rebooting and without journalctl... I've tried so far: # systemctl reload-or-restart systemd-journald.service # systemctl -l status systemd-journald.service systemd-journald.service - Journal Service Loaded: loaded (/lib/systemd/system/systemd-journald.service; static) Active: active (running) since Thu 2014-07-17 23:18:02 CEST; 2min 12s ago Docs: man:systemd-journald.service(8) man:journald.conf(5) Main PID: 21568 (systemd-journal) Status: "Processing requests..." I'll also try to install rsyslog before rebooting to see if that receives something if I call "echo foo | logger" -- "journalctl -f" remains silent in that case. Shall I raise the severity again, if even that doesn't work?
