Until now, when sending a ping to a domain which resolves to an IPv6 address, it takes a very short delay to have an output returned. But with SystemD-resolved, resolution takes about 15 seconds. This issue should have been fixed upstream [1] but I don't precisely know which SystemD version solves it nor if it is stable. It makes ping less efficient with this long delay before having a reply. It occurs with the Backport version as specified but also with the version in Bookworm (252.22-1~deb12u1). Could it be possible to backport the fix to Bookworm? For bookworm-backports, is it planned to release a new version when available? I personnaly switched back from Systemd-resolve to only use Network Manager and have not migrated any server (using SystemD Network) because even if it looks only Ping is conserned, this behavior is not desirable and makes Ping not unusable but near when not using it with an IPv4 directly IMO.
