external monitor attached.

I think two other candidates are AC adapter and MII-status of the
LAN port.

Obviously, all of these should be configurable. Maybe the syntax
could involve some sort of bitwise logic, e.g.

  LidSwitchHandleCondition = dock | ( ac & lan )
