Just to reiterate my point that this is important.. severely important.. this causes unmount target to fail as well.. which means you can't safely reboot or shutdown.. you either have to know how to do sysrq encantations or other methods of securely flushing and unmounting your filesystems and rebooting, or you can't shutdown or reboot when this issue occurs.
