Hi, The GDM part <https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gdm/issues/433> is now fixed.
I have also noticed that at least on Debian Stretch and Buster, there seems to be a some kind of delay for the keyboard layout to be applied to the virtual console. A reboot seems to trigger it, at least sometimes. When it is actually supposed to happen?
