Aside from what Andreas already said, please read http://web.dodds.net/~vorlon/wiki/blog/Plymouth_is_not_a_bootsplash/ about the misconception that plymouth is "only" a fancy boot splash. -- Why is it that all of the instruments seeking intelligent life in the universe are pointed away from Earth?
