Package: pulseaudio
Version: 0.9.10-2
Severity: normal

If using module-hal-detect to let pulseaudio automatically configure
alsa-source and alsa-sink, pulseaudio doesn't start because it cannot
open PCM
device hw:0 for alsa-source. This seems reasonable since hw:0 is already
in use by alsa-sink. If i remove load-module module-hal-detect and
using module-alsa-sink device=hw:0 instead in default.pa, pulseaudio
starts up only claiming that the operation setrlimit is not allowed,
which is
another issue i don't understand (since my user is in group pulse-rt).

This bug has been fixed a long time ago, as pulseaudio now provides an
alsa configuration conditional on pulseaudio running.

Thanks for your report, now closing
