Hi,

After upgrading from squeeze to wheezy, I encounter this bug too.
I've also confirmed that "sudo alsa force-reload" works for me.

The interesting part is in squeeze and wheezy the pulseaudio are the
same version (0.9.21-3)

I also tried to upgrade my pulseaudio to 0.9.22-1 in experimental but
the situation is same.

I'll try to dig deeper to see what happens.
