Package: paprefs
Version: 0.9.6-2
Severity: normal
I have pulseaudio running as a regular user (i.e. I start when I start my X
session), and when I run paprefs all the 'Network Access' options are greyed
out. I temporarily enabled the network by editing ~/.pulse/daemon.conf and
~/.pulse/defaults.pa so that the network modules are loaded, but this shouldn't
be necessary and doesn't fix paprefs (in fact it makes it impossible to use
paprefs even if whatever the problem is goes away, if I understand the comments
in default.pa correctly).
Is this user error, is has something gone screw with pulse/paprefs? This is a
fresh install and I can't find any documentation in /usr/share/doc/pulseaudio
or /usr/share/doc/paprefs or man pulseaudio or man paprefs that sheds light on
the issue.
