Public bug reported: I installed chordpro 6.050.7-2 in Ubuntu 24.10 using this command:
sudo apt install chordpro I opened chordpro, and I clicked on the menu File, then Preview. Firefox is launched to open the generated PDF file with a file name like `file:///tmp/s32zRaPAQq.pdf` . However, I see this error: > File not found > > Firefox can’t find the file at /tmp/s32zRaPAQq.pdf. > > Check the file name for capitalisation or other typing errors. > Check to see if the file was moved, renamed or deleted. If I run `evince /tmp/s32zRaPAQq.pdf` on the command line, then the Evince app will find this PDF file and load it. I think Firefox is failing to find this PDF file, because of Snap's sandbox restrictions. Either Snap Firefox needs to be changed to be able to open files under /tmp/, or chordpro needs to be changed to not use Snap Firefox to open a PDF file. ** Affects: chordpro (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Debian Perl Group, which is subscribed to chordpro in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2100878 Title: chordpro's preview functionality incompatible with Snap Firefox To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/chordpro/+bug/2100878/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~pkg-perl-maintainers Post to : pkg-perl-maintainers@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~pkg-perl-maintainers More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
