On stretch I have the same problem, seems to have to do something with
the path being "Wrong"

/usr/share/fonts/truetype/ttf-dejavu/DejaVuSans.ttf
ls: cannot access
'/usr/share/fonts/truetype/ttf-dejavu/DejaVuSans.ttf': No such file or
directory
because
boiert@navi:~$ ls -lah /usr/share/fonts/truetype/dejavu/DejaVuSans.ttf
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 740K jul 30 11:51
/usr/share/fonts/truetype/dejavu/DejaVuSans.ttf
Do I need to install some transitional package?
